MISSOULA – Missoula Sentinel and Missoula Hellgate each picked up Western AA conference soccer sweeps over Helena High and Helena Capital on Thursday afternoon.
The three-time defending state champion Hellgate boys scored two goals in the first six minutes and rolled past Helena High 7-2. The Hellgate girls then followed with a 1-0 shutout of the defending state champion Helena girls.
Over at Sentinel, the Spartan boys slipped past Helena Capital 2-1. Then the Sentinel girls built a 4-0 first-half lead on their way to a 5-2 victory.
