BILLINGS – Billings West’s Carrie Carpenter and Billings Senior’s Brady Cady each fired 1-under rounds of 70 to win the Billings City Golf Meet Thursday at Peter Yegen Golf Club.

It’s Carpenter’s third straight tournament win to begin her junior season. She bested the rest of the field by 10 shots, with Senior’s Bryn Turnquist finishing second with an 80. It was Turnquist with the shot of the day however, as her tee shot on the Par-4 14th hole lipped out of the cup for what would have been a hole-in-one.

West also beat Senior for the girls team title, 333 to 338. Skyview finished third at 357.

Cady beat teammate Tyler Hall by one shot, as the two helped the Broncs to the boys team title, 303 to West’s 308. Skyview was third at 320.

West’s Blake Loberg finished third with a 73, while Bears teammate Jace Rhodes shot 74. Cody Brunner was Skyview’s top finisher, also with a 74.
