HELENA -- The Kalispell Glacier golf programs swept the team titles at the Helena Golf Invitational on Thursday at Bill Roberts Golf Course. The Wolfpack's Tyler Avery earned medalist honors in the boys standings, while Kalispell Flathead's Marcella Mercer won the girls tournament.
Avery fired a 66 to defeat teammate Ezra Epperly by two strokes, while the Wolfpack's Will Salonen finished fourth overall with a 73.
Logan Meyer of Helena High also shot a 68 on Thursday.

Glacier tallied a 293 to defeat crosstown rival Kalispell Flathead (306) for the team title. Missoula Sentinel finished a stroke back in third place, while Helena Capital and Helena High were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Missoula Hellgate, Missoula Big Sky and Belgrade rounded out the team standings.
Mercer continued her impressive streak this fall, shooting a 69 for another medalist honor. The Flathead sensation defeated Helena's Lauren Williams (76), while Glacier's Alana Griffin led the team-champion Wolfpack with an 84.
Celi Chapman of Helena High and Helena Capital's Lexi McNew each shot 87, while Capital's Zita Gravely had an effort of 89 to place sixth.
Griffin and Glacier edged Capital by three strokes, 367-370, for the team title, while Kalispell Flathead was third with a score of 401. Missoula Hellgate and Belgrade rounded out the top five, while Helena High, Missoula Big Sky and Missoula Sentinel didn't have enough varsity golfers to post team scores.
