Arlee’s Alyssia Vanderburg will be continuing her basketball career at Rocky Mountain College. Vanderburg signed with the Rocky women’s basketball team.

Vanderburg is well-accomplished in her basketball career. She played in three State C girls basketball tournaments with Arlee, including a runner-up finish to Belt her sophomore year. The Scarlets also won a divisional championship in 2016 before losing at the state tournament to eventual runner-up Box Elder.

This season, Arlee fell to Scobey and Wibaux in its first two games at the state tournament. Vanderburg was a all-tournament team selection.

Vanderburg was a four-time all-conference selection for the Scarlets and earned all-state recognition her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

In mid-January 2018, Vanderburg eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in her career, doing so just halfway through her junior season. Vanderburg will join a Rocky team that finished this season 20-13 and lost in the opening round of the NAIA Division I women’s basketball national tournament to Shawnee State University (Ohio).
