Few changes in MontanaSports.com high school girls basketball power rankings

and last updated

For the most part, girls basketball teams that were expected to win did just that last week, resulting in few changes in the MontanaSports.com power rankings.

There were no changes in the Class AA top five, but Missoula Hellgate did crack the “receiving votes” category. Class A saw just one change: Hardin moved into the top five after beating then-No. 4 Laurel last week. The Bulldogs are fifth this week, while the Locomotives fell into the “receiving votes” category.

Class B lost its fifth-ranked team, as Whitehall suffered its second loss of the season. In the Trojans’ place in the rankings comes Forsyth, which has dominated District 3B and is 13-1 on the season. Nothing changed in the Class C top five, with Belt and Fort Benton still tying for the fifth and final spot in the MontanaSports.com poll.

Helena High (11-0), Havre (14-0), Townsend (14-0) and Box Elder (14-0) again top their respective classes. Helena, Havre and Box Elder are the defending State AA, State A and State C champions, respectively.
