BUTTE — The Great Falls High and Butte girls basketball teams met for second time this season. Saturday’s game in Butte was at Richardson Gymnasium.
The game was tight throughout the first half, as the teams traded scores. The Bison were fueled by Annie Toon’s low-post play and Morgan Sunchild hitting her shots from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs countered with backdoor easy looks from Justice Birkenbuel and all-around good play from seniors Aspen Lovshin and Ally Cleverly.
Butte pulled away in the second half, though, to win its eight consecutive game, 41-25.
