THREE FORKS — With 17 seconds left, Three Forks defensive back Micaiah Hauser batted down a pass by Columbus quarterback Carson West to give the Wolves a thrilling 44-40 victory in a Southern B clash Friday night in Three Forks.

The game was back and forth throughout with each team trading scores. West gave the Cougars a one-score lead late in the third quarter on a quarterback keeper, but Three Forks quarterback Colter Miller found Hauser for a touchdown to cut the deficit back to one.

Miller then used his game-breaking speed in the open field, scampering in to give the Wolves a 44-40 lead late in the game.

Hauser’s pass-breakup helped improve Three Forks’ record to 4-2 overall (2-2 conference), while Columbus fell to 3-2 (1-2).
