CHOTEAU — After giving up a touchdown on the game’s opening kickoff, Great Falls Central scored 33 consecutive points to hand Choteau its first loss of the season, 39-12, on Friday.
Choteau’s Kyler Crabtree ran the opening kick back 70 yards to give the Bulldogs a brief 6-0 lead. The Mustangs tied later in the first quarter on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Noah Ambuehl to Ethan Vincent.
The Mustangs added three touchdowns in the second quarter — runs of 13 and 30 yards from Riley Dickinson and a 63-yard run from Ambuehl. It was 26-6 at the half, and Great Falls Central added a third-quarter touchdown to get all the cushion it would need.
With the 39-12 win, Great Falls Central improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the 8-Man North ‘A’ sub-division. Choteau fell to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Great Falls Central is the only team in the 8-Man North ‘A’ sub-division without a conference loss.
