WHITEHALL -The Whitehall football team will be facing adversity this season after it was discovered Max Feight has torn his ACL and will be out for the season.

Feight exclusively told MTN Sports’ Brooke Leonard the news of the injury, which he obtained in the Trojans’ season opener at Colstrip.

While the injury will require surgery and eight months of rehabilitation, Feight is remaining optimistic.

“Well, it sucks, it definitely sucks to tear your ACL,” he said. “Pretty much the first offensive series of the year, but it’s behind me now. I have to focus on surgery and getting into rehab mode and getting my strength back to where it was before I tore it as soon as possible.”

Feight’s goal following his senior season was to play football at the collegiate level, and he says this speed bump is not going to slow him down.

“I’m just trying to stay positive, you know? Staying positive is the key, along with looking forward, to getting that rehab started and playing as soon as I can,” he said.

Whitehall plays Shepherd Friday at 7 p.m.
