GREAT FALLS — Carson McGinness threw three touchdowns to Cooper Davis and ran for another to help Centerville to a 36-14 8-Man football win over Simms on Saturday.

McGinness scored the game’s first touchdown on an 11-yard run in the first quarter, and the Miners added a safety to take an 8-0 lead after one. McGinness and Davis hooked up for their first touchdown — a 55-yarder — in the second as Centerville built a 14-0 lead.

Simms used two Stephen Links touchdowns — one rushing and one passing — to battle back to tie the game heading to the fourth. The final frame was all Centerville, though, as the Miners recorded another safety and McGinness found Davis for two more touchdowns. Bill Dwello added a 1-yard rushing TD, as well.

With the win, Centerville improves to 3-0 on the season. Simms falls to 2-1.
