THREE FORKS – On Saturday night the Three Forks football team received terrible news. Teammates Tyler Williams and Gavin Foth were involved in an ATV accident that resulted in severe injuries for both.

Williams suffered a broken neck, but is expected to make a full recovery, according to a Facebook post from The Post Game Gallery.

Foth is still in serious condition after being hospitalized on Sept. 10. He underwent surgery on Sunday to relieve pressure on his spine, according to his mom, Kortney, in another post on The Post Game Gallery. The post went on to include that Foth has “2 holes in his lungs, bleed on brain and shattered ribs.”

But his teammates were there to support him, visiting Foth in the hospital after his surgery to show their support. And through this event, it is becoming more visible that, day by day, the Wolves are becoming stronger as a family.

“I believe it’s brought them all a little closer,” said Three Forks coach Matt Bakken. “When I showed up, there was at least three quarters of the team up there all showing support for each other … showing the love for one another, as well.”

A Facebook page, G Strong – #gstrong, has been created to provide updates regarding Foth’s condition. According to the page, Foth started breathing on his own on Tuesday.

There will be a benefit for Foth at the Plaza Bar and Casino in Three Forks on Saturday. Oct. 21.
