Class AA superintendents released a memo Monday afternoon announcing each of Montana's AA schools will begin allowing a uniform number of spectators for the remainder of this winter sports season, including postseason play.

The adjustments take effect Tuesday as all Class AA schools begin allowing four spectators per home team participant and two spectators per visiting team participant.

In Billings, School District 2 activities director Mark Wahl added an additional option.

"We will consider all high school and middle school crosstown games to be home/home," Wahl said in a release. "Therefore, we will allow four spectators per participant, home and away, for all crosstown games. All masking and physical distancing guidelines will remain in place. We ask that all spectators continue to follow those guidelines carefully."

Further information will follow to communicate additional postseason competition guidelines as well as ticket distribution information, according to the release.
