BILLINGS — Billings West's Carrie Carpenter and Bozeman's Jordan Verge repeated as individual champions at the Billings Golf Invite Tuesday, while Bozeman swept both team titles.

Carpenter shot a 1-over-par 73 at Lake Hills Golf Club for a two-round total of 142, five shots better than Bozeman's Cora Rosanova. Rosanova shot Tuesday's low round, an even-par 72, to help the Hawks overtake West in the team race, 626 to 639.

Laurel's Haylee Adams finished third but struggled Tuesday with an 85 after shooting a 1-under-par 70 at Peter Yegen Golf Club in Monday's opening round. Bozeman's Sami Yates and Cooper Knarr rounded out the top five.

The Hawks also placed three boys in the top five. Jordan Verge fired a 4-under-par 68 Tuesday to win the title at 139, three shots ahead of twin brother Justus, the defending Class AA state champion. Billings Senior's Jhett Brailey was also tied for second at 142 after shooting a 3-under-par 69 Tuesday.

Bozeman's J.R. Small, who led after a 5-under-par 66 in Monday's opener, struggled to an 81 at Lake HIlls to finish fourth at 147, tied with Laurel's Nick Pasquarello.

Bozeman finished at 1-under-par 571 overall for the two-day event. Laurel was second at 608.
