Colstrip boys run past Huntley Project, finish regular season 18-0

WORDEN – Colstrip’s basketball boys are still perfect this season after Tuesday’s 62-44 win at Huntley Project.

The Colts close the regular season 18-0 and join Big Timber as Montana’s only two remaining unbeaten boys teams in Class B.

Three Colstrip players scored in double figures. JT Baer led everybody with 16, followed by Kellen Bighead with 15 and Kobee Bigback with 14. Noah Bouchard led Huntley Project with 14.

The Colts built a 32-22 lead at halftime before expanding it to 45-34 after three.

Colstrip’s girls played at home and beat Huntley Project 60-54. The Fillies finish this season 14-4.

District tournaments open next week for both schools. Colstrip will host the 3B tournament Wednesday-Saturday, starting Feb. 13. Huntley Project will travel to Columbus for the 4B tournament next Thursday-Saturday.
