BILLINGS – Billings Senior High’s basketball boys had it within reach, but their first win of the season will have to wait.
The Broncs led crosstown Skyview 34-31 at home in the third quarter before the Falcons reeled off a 10-0 run and never gave back the lead in a 58-50 win Thursday night.
Junior Bergen nailed a 3 with the first-half clock running out, giving Senior the momentum of a 25-22 lead into the locker room. After losing the lead, the Broncs drew to within one with just more than two minutes left, but Skyview was able to put it away.
Senior (0-10 overall, 0-5 Eastern AA) draws another home game Friday night at 7 p.m. against Billings Central. Skyview (7-3, 3-2) plays at Central Saturday at 4 p.m.
