Manhattan Christian sweeps district rival Gardiner

CHURCHILL – Manhattan Christian came out to their Gold Rush games with energy on Friday night as they swept district rival Gardiner.

On the girls side, the Eagles cruised to a 57-33 win over the Bruins. Senior Kelsey Heidema led all-scorers with 13 points for Manhattan Christian. Alexis McDonald paced the Bruins with 12 points.

The Eagles took to the boards, out-rebounding Gardiner 47-25 in the win.

On the boys side, Manhattan Christian cruised to a 30-point victory over Gardiner, winning 79-49. The Eagles had five scorers in double digits, headlined by Caleb Bellach. The future Montana State Bobcat scored 16 points and hauled in 12 rebounds.

Luke Stermitz logged 12 points and five rebounds in the loss.
