BILLINGS – Josh Erbacher made a turn-around jumper with 49 seconds left, and Billings West forced Laurel into a late turnover to hold on to a 47-46 win Saturday afternoon in the Golden Dome.

Laurel’s Gaje Leischner had given the Locomotives a 46-45 lead on a runner in the lane before Erbacher’s make. Cade Tyson was fouled after Laurel’s turnover, missed both free throws, but Logan Kennedy’s 75-foot heave at the buzzer came up short.

Laurel led 16-11 after the first quarter, but West rallied to take a one-point lead at halftime. The teams stayed close throughout the second half.
