BELGRADE — The sun came out just in time on Friday for the eighteen teams competing at Belgrade High School in the Gallatin Valley Invitational. Athletes like Townsend’s Kameron Rauser claimed first in more than one event, whereas Jefferson high jumper Avery Stiles was competing against his own personal best.

Rauser won all three individual events he competed in on Friday. Rauser won the 100 in 11.51 seconds, the 110-meter hurdles in 15.24 and the 400 in 51.15. His times in the hurdles and the 400 rank No. 3 in Montana this season.

Stiles won the high jump at 6 feet, 6 inches, nearly matching his best of 6-08. Stiles needed that strong performance, because Dillon’s Michael Haverfield cleared 6-04, his season best.
