MISSOULA – Prior to this season, Missoula Hellgate had lost every varsity football game it played since October of 2012, a stretch of 2,177 days. This season that finally changed and comes in at number eight on our top ten stories of the year.

On September 21st Missoula Hellgate took on CMR at home and they came out hot. On the opening possession, Hellgate took a punt 75 yards to the house and took a 21-6 lead into the half.

CMR made a comeback. But with three minutes left in the game, CMR went for it on the one-yard line on fourth and goal and Hellgate got the stop to seal it!

They are our number eight story of the year.
