BUTTE – The Butte boys and girls soccer teams hosted Great Falls High for a doubleheader at Margaret Leary Elementary on Saturday. The Great Falls boys notched a 4-1 win, while the girls played to a draw.
First in the boys game, Butte went into the half up 1-0, but Great Fall’s Zach Langel notched an equalizer early in the second half.
From then on it was all Bison. Judah McAdam found the back of the net with an easy shot, and Zek Herrera drilled a beautiful shot from long range to help the Bison boys to the 4-1 win.
The girls played to a defensive chess match.
Butte had chances with shots from Marti Ludwick, but Great Falls High goalkeeper Jorgie Hawthorn kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard.
The girls battled to a 0-0 draw.
