HELENA — There are no easy positions in football to play, but being a quarterback can be especially challenging.
That’s why Helena Capital is holding its Bruin QB Camp this week. The camp started Monday and runs through Wednesday at Tuss Field in Helena.
“I hope they leave this week having learned how to throw the ball better. We’re going to continue to hammer that technique, from where do I hold it, how do I hold it, how do I be accurate with it based on my feet,” said Capital quarterbacks coach Bill Cockhill. “If we can do those things and then attach all that to the type of throws you have to do, that’s really what we’re looking for in our kids.
“Just the position, you’ve seen it evolve where it’s high school, college and even the pros now, is all the things that you’re doing — throwing quick, throwing this type of ball, throwing that, throwing out of the shotgun, all the things you want to do. And we’re trying to get them going on it now.”
If you missed Monday’s camp, you can still show up Tuesday or Wednesday and register on-site.
Reminder that next week we will be having our QB camp at CHS. Camp will be Monday-Wednesday from 10-12 on Tuss Field. You can sign up at the camp if you have not signed up yet. pic.twitter.com/xQCoZa4qMK
