HIGHWOOD — Athletes reported to Highwood on Tuesday in preparation for the 6-Man All-Star Game, the annual football showcase that alternates between Custer and Highwood.
The Blue Team, which this year will be lead by Westby-Grenora coach Troy Walters, is seeking its fourth consecutive win in the series. The Blue won the 2017 game 77-71 in Custer.
Walters will have five of his former players on the roster for Saturday’s game: Jeremiah Paine, Brian Field, Bruce Carter, Liam Nelson and Cole Berg. The Thunder wrapped up an undefeated season last fall with a 68-37 win over Bridger in the 6-Man state championship.
The Scouts will also be well-represented on Saturday. Coach Mike Mathis will lead the Red Team, which includes Colter Zentner, Russell Zentner and Nick Althoff, who all played under Mathis at Bridger.
The 22nd annual 6-Man All-Star Game kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday in Highwood. Updated rosters for the game are below.
