RONAN and POLSON — The Class A State tennis tournament kicked off on Thursday, with the girls in Ronan and the boys in Polson. After rain delays in both locations throughout the day the boys finally got through all the quarterfinal matchups.
On the other hand, the girls dealt with more rain before moving up to Polson at the conclusion of the boys matches. But the rain followed and Thursday’s matches were postponed. Only one girls doubles quarterfinal got under way with the rest of the doubles and all of the singles still to play Friday.
Here are the boys advancing to the semifinals on Friday:
