BILLINGS – Billings West High’s softball girls didn’t waste any time jumping all over Bozeman in an afternoon doubleheader at home Wednesday.

The Bears scored three times in the opening inning and kept applying offense on their way to a 11-4 win in Game 1. Kinzee Koch struck out nine while freshman Lauren Blaschak was 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored.

West duplicated the three-run first inning in Game 2 and went on to win 11-2. Sophomore Deven Creech earned the win. Creech also led the offense with a 3-for-5 performance at the plate with three RBI. The Bears led 9-0 before Bozeman put a pair of runs on the board in the fourth inning.

West improves to 5-4 in conference and 5-5 overall.
