Hamilton softball stays perfect with 9-2 win at Missoula Loyola

MISSOULA – Class A Hamilton kept its perfect season intact with a victory at Class B Missoula Loyola Tuesday afternoon.

The Broncs took down the Breakers 9-2. The contest remained close until the top of the fourth. Then Hamilton blew open a 1-0 game with a six-run inning.

Pitcher Jorden Taggert scattered eight Loyola hits while only giving up two runs. She also struck out seven Breakers. Hamilton’s lineup shared the success on the day. No Broncs player collected more than two hits or drove in more than a single run.

Loyola’s Kayla Hickethier pitched a complete game, also striking out seven batters. Carly Tipp drove in both Breakers runs, one in the fourth and one in the sixth innings. Loyola also committed four errors.
