MISSOULA – Tuesday morning at Missoula Sentinel High School student athletes signed their commitment letters for the next step in their educational and athletic career.

Sentinel athletic director Dane Oliver spoke to students and their families about the kids time at the school and what their future holds. The future collegiate athletes then all posed for pictures before signing the letters.

All the students expressed how excited they were. Some didn’t even know they would be playing until recently, like Jake Peterson, who will play football at Montana Western next fall. “Going into this year I didn’t think anything of it. I wasn’t planning on playing anywhere but things change. So I’m glad they did,” said Peterson.

And other’s were excited to see how they fair against higher competition, like Blake Hasquet, who is off to play golf at Montana Tech. “Definitely excited to see what I can do versus just a whole other range of people and just see how I can compete with them,” said Hasquet.
