BELGRADE – Butte softball trounced Belgrade 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon as Bulldogs pitcher Kaidy McClafferty shined, racking up 12 strikeouts. McClafferty, who is committed to play softball at Bemidji State next year, is one of the most dominant pitchers in the Treasure State. The senior captured her third win of the season, and has struck out 10 or more batters in each performance.
The Panthers struggled, stranding runners in scoring position on multiple occassions as they fall to 2-2 on the season. They will look to rebound as they host their annual First Pitch Tournament on Saturday April 14 starting at 10 a.m.
