BILLINGS – The Laurel Locomotives have a new head volleyball coach, and she arrives with an impressive player resume.

Kortney Klein, who won three State B championships at Huntley Project under Red Devils coach Iona Stookey, replaces Jodi Alexander at Laurel. Alexander resigned in December after two seasons. The Locomotives haven’t been to the Class A state volleyball tournament in six years, last winning the State A title in 2012.

Klein was a middle hitter for the Red Devils in the mid-2000s.

She has spent the past five years coaching sixth, seventh and eighth graders at Elysian School.
