BILLINGS — Nathan Wahl has been named the new head football coach at Billings Skyview.

Wahl, a 2005 graduate of Skyview, will replace Ron Lebsock, the only coach in program history. Lebsock began coaching the Falcons in 1985 and announced his resignation in January.

Wahl was on Lebsock’s Skyview teams that played for Class AA state titles in 2003 and 2004. The Falcons defeated Billings Senior, 35-28, for the 2003 championship.

Wahl graduated from Montana State University in 2009 with a degree in Health and Human Development and has spent the past five years on the staff at Bozeman High. He coached linebackers, defensive backs and runnings backs for the Hawks, helping the program to state championships in 2013 and 2015. He’s been the defensive coordinator the past two years under coach Levi Wesche.

The Falcons finished last season with a 3-7 record, missing the Class AA playoffs for the third consecutive year.
