Poplar paces District 2B all-conference, all-state selections

Poplar, which advanced to the State B girls basketball tournament, leads the District 2B all-conference and all-state selections.

Indians Imani Bighorn and Alleen Russell were both awarded all-state honors, and Chloe Shields was named to the all-conference second team. Harlem’s L’Tia Lawrence was named to the all-state team, while Skylee Dirden earned all-conference recogntion. Wolf Point’s Brenna Kurokawa and Semarah Wells rounded out the District 2B first team.

On the boys side, Malta’s Taylor Matthews, Glasgow’s Cade Myrick and Poplar’s Damon Sadler earned all-state honors. Brady Cichosz of Harlem, Kenny Smoker of Poplar and Joseph Williamson completed the all-conference first team.
