HELENA — Boys basketball programs from Bozeman, Great Falls CMR and Kalispell Flathead each led Class AA with a pair of all-state athletes, according to coaches around the state. The all-state and all-conference teams were released on Monday.

Garrison Rothwell, the weekend’s state tournament MVP, and teammate Sam Vining paced state champion CMR on the Eastern AA’s all-state team. Rothwell and Vining led the Rustlers to an 81-69 victory over Bozeman on Saturday, clinching the program’s first championship since CMR won consecutive titles in 2009 and 2010.

Bozeman’s Mack Anderson and Ryan Lonergan were each named all-state, as were Sam Elliott and Tyler Johnson of Kalispell Flathead in the Western AA. Gatorade player of the year Sam Beighle paced the Western AA’s all-state selections, while Connor Kieckbusch (Billings Senior), Kendall Kynett (Great Falls High) and Jesse Owens (Billings West) rounded out the Eastern AA selections.
