BILLINGS – Three Forks got a little revenge Saturday night, defeating Colstrip 63-44 in the Southern B girls basketball title game almost one year to the day after losing to the Fillies in the 2017 divisional championship.

Kyle Olson scored a game-high 21 points, and Shainy Mack chipped in 13, six assists, and six rebounds to help the No. 1-ranked Wolves move to 23-0 on the year.

Three Forks led 19-13 after the first, and pushed the lead to double digits by halftime, 31-19. Free throws were key – the Wolves went to the line 41 times, compared to just 15 for the Fillies.

Shelby Jordan led Colstrip with 12 points, while Sossity Spotted Wolf added 10.

Three Forks will be the South’s No. 1 seed at the State B tournament March 8-10 in Missoula. Colstrip will be the No. 2 seed.

St. Labre and Townsend also clinched state berths earlier Saturday with loser-out wins. The Bravettes beat Jefferson 51-47, while Townsend ousted Roundup 37-33. The Bulldogs will be the South’s No. 3 seed after beating St. Labre 45-33 in the consolation final Saturday afternoon.
