HELENA – For the third time this season the Helena High and Helena Capital girls clashed on the court. This time, Friday night was for a little bit more than Queen City supremacy, though.
When the Bengals left the court with a 50-35 victory over the Bruins, they also left with a locked-up spot in the State AA tournament next week, and a chance at revenge against Missoula Sentinel in the Western AA tourney championship game Saturday at 8 p.m.
The Bruins are not out of the big dance just yet, though. They’ll have a chance to punch their ticket Saturday in a loser-out game with Kalispell Flathead, with the winner moving to the consolation game and a trip to state.
