BUTTE — Following a loss to Twin Bridges in the District 12C boys basketball championship game on Saturday night, the Drummond Trojans were summoned by rival Philipsburg to play a challenge game in Butte on Monday for the final spot in the Western C divisional tournament. If it wasn’t for Drummond’s Jonah Parke, the game probably would have been much more of a challenge, but he and his Trojans defeated the Prospectors 50-27.

Drummond and Philipsburg battled closely through the first three quarters, with the Trojans holding a narrow 31-25 lead. But Parke saved his best basketball for the final frame, scoring 12 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter. The Prospectors were outscored 19-2 in the fourth.

Manhattan Christian awaits Drummond on Thursday.
