BELGRADE – For the third time in seven years, Big Timber’s boys basketball team is the champion of District 5B. The Herders took down top-seeded Three Forks 60-49 on Saturday night.
Big Timber led by as many as 23 points in the third quarter, but Three Forks rallied back to make it a two-possession game. The Wolves would get no closer, though, as the Herders iced the game away. The win gives Big Timber a No. 1 seed heading into the Southern B divisional tournament.
The Herders also won district titles in 2013 and 2015.
