GREAT FALLS — Kendall Kynett scored 23 points and the Great Falls High boys basketball team avenged a loss to Bozeman from earlier in the season, 72-55, Friday night.

Bozeman jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter and led 24-14 at one point in the second. The Bison battled back, using big shots from Blake Thelen, Hunter McKinney and Kynett to tie the game at 30 with under a minute left in the half.

McKinney’s 3-pointer before time expired gave the Bison a 33-30 lead at halftime and they would never trail again. Thelen scored 15 points, McKinney had 14 and Kyle Torgerson added 10 to make it four Bison in double figures.

Ryan Lonergan paced the Hawks with 18 points with Tyler Dobie pitching in 13.

Great Falls High (12-3, 7-2) will host Billings Skyview Saturday while Bozeman will head across town to face Great Falls CMR.
