RONAN – The top seeds dominated in the girls basketball semifinals at the Northwest A district tournament as Columbia Falls and Browning moved on to a championship showdown.
Top-seeded Columbia Falls handled No. 4-seed Ronan 50-18. After a slow start, the Wildkats pulled ahead 24-10 by halftime. Hannah Gedleman paced the Wildkats with 14 points.
Browning followed with a 45-21 win over No. 3-seed Libby. The No. 2 Indians received 14 points from both Dulci Skunkcap and Ronnal Jordan.
Browning and Columbia Falls split in two regular-season matchups. The rubber match will settle a Northwest A champion at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
