FRENCHTOWN – The Victor and Lincoln boys each moved on after close first-round games at the 13C District Tournament on Thursday.
The No. 5-seed Pirates built a first-quarter lead and then held off the No. 4-seed Valley Christian to win 53-49.
No. 3-seed Lincoln trailed No. 6-seed Alberton-Superior at halftime, but came back to win 55-43.
On Friday in the semifinals, Victor will take on top-seeded Seeley-Swan at 12:45 p.m. Lincoln battles No. 2-seed Darby at 4:15 p.m.
