White Sulphur Springs, Lone Peak survive at girls District 11C tournament

White Sulphur Springs vs. West Yellowstone
White Sulphur Springs moved on to Friday’s semifinals with a 44-34 win over West Yellowstone. Genna Barrett stuffed the stat sheet for the Hornets finishing with nine points, eight rebounds, and six assists. White Sulphur Springs will play Manhattan Christian Friday night for a shot at the district championship game.

Lone Peak vs. Gardiner
The Lone Peak Bighorns held off a pesky Gardiner squad, 43-36. Lone Peak trailed by three at halftime, but Jayleen Cole knocked down a pair of triples early in the third quarter to give the Bighorns momentum and a lead. Cole finished with a game-high 19 points, knocking down five 3-pointers on the evening. Brooke Russell led Gardiner with 16 points and nine rebounds. Lone Peak will take on Shields Valley Friday night with the winner advancing to the championship game.
