Havre girls finish regular season undefeated with win over Great Falls CMR

HAVRE — The Havre girls basketball team kept its undefeated season alive Tuesday with a 48-42 win over Class AA foe Great Falls CMR.

The Blue Ponies jumped out to an 11-5 lead after the first quarter, but CMR responded with a 20-8 run in the second for a 25-19 halftime lead.

The teams traded the lead in the third before a Danielle Wallace 3-pointer at the third-quarter buzzer gave the Blue Ponies a 34-33 lead they would never relinquish.

Sophomore star Kyndall Keller scored a team-high 17 points for Havre, including eight in the fourth quarter. Senior guard Marca Herron added 10 points, with seven in the first quarter.

CMR senior Addison Gardner led all scorers with 19 points with fellow senior Kyra Willis adding 13.

Havre ends the regular season with an 18-0 record and will next compete at the Eastern A divisional in Billings beginning Feb. 21.

Great Falls CMR falls to 7-7 overall and will return to AA play Friday against Billings Skyview.
