BILLINGS – Cold outdoor temperatures didn’t keep Billings Central’s basketball guys from hot outside shooting on the basketball court Monday night.

The Rams buried 14 3-pointers on their way to defeating Glendive, 61-49, on Monday. It marks five consecutive wins for Central.

The Rams blew it open early, building a 19-4 lead after one quarter. Cade Herriford capped a barrage of Central 3-pointers in the second quarter by hitting a halftime buzzer beater. That built the Rams’ lead to 34-8 at the break.

With the win, Central maintains a firm grip on second place in the Eastern A, trailing only Hardin. The Bulldogs won a home game over Miles City Monday, 66-42.

Monday’s game was a make-up after harsh weather and icy roads postponed a weekend series between the teams. Central hosts Sidney Tuesday night in the other portion of that make-up.
