GREAT FALLS – Two of the best basketball teams in District 10C squared off on Saturday, when Great Falls Central hosted Heart Butte.
The Warriors got a 63-46 victory to keep their undefeated record intact. Anthony Aimsback and Riley Spoonhunter each had 13 points to lead all scorers. Noah Ambuehl led the Mustangs with 12 points.
The win brings Heart Butte to a perfect 16-0 on the season and 14-0 in conference play. With the loss, the Mustangs fall to 13-4 and 11-4 in conference play.
For the girls game, the Mustangs got revenge, notching a 56-23 over Heart Butte. GFCC senior Bryn Anderson led all scorers with 27 points. The win brings Central to 15-2 and 14-1 in conference play. With the loss, the Warriors fall to 11-5 and 10-4 in conference play.
