MANHATTAN – The Manhattan boys basketball team withstood a late rally by Big Timber to grab a 54-45 conference victory on Thursday.

Kell Schwehrs made back-to-back 3-pointers to cut the Tigers’ lead to four with just 45 seconds to play, but Manhattan iced the game at the line with free throws by Nathan VanDyke and Cal Holgate.

Big Timber got revenge in the girls game. The Sheepherders jumped out to a 35-16 halftime advantage on their way to a dominant victory, 80-40.
