ANACONDA — With Anaconda’s now former all-time leading scorer in attendance, Braxton Hill scored 26 points to set a new school mark in a 55-41 boys basketball win over Butte Central on Thursday night.

Hill needed 24 points to pass Ali Hurley, who tallied 1,698 points in her time in the Smelter City. He broke the record on a pull-up transition jumper. He finished with 26 points to lead all scorers, bringing him to an even 1,700 career points.

The Lady Maroons ruined what could have been a perfect night for the Copperheads, cruising to a 54-45 victory. The Maroons led by double digits for much of the second half, thanks to a 20-2 run in the third quarter.
