KALISPELL AND MISSOULA – The Kalispell Flathead boys and girls picked up much-needed conference wins over Missoula Big Sky on Tuesday night.
The Brave boys pulled away in the second quarter, comfortably finishing off the Eagles 63-44. Flathead improved to 2-1 in Western AA play and 6-3 overall. Big Sky remains winless on the season, 0-9 overall and 0-3 in league.
Flathead built a double-digit lead by late in the second quarter in the girls game, but Big Sky made a comeback on its home floor. In the end, the Bravettes held on to beat the Eagles, 46-44. Flathead notched its second win of the year, improving to 2-7 overall and 1-2 in league. Big Sky falls to 1-8 and 0-3 in the Western AA.
