Florence girls stay perfect with win over Class A Corvallis

FLORENCE — Danielle Zahn scored a game-high 21 points to help Florence to an impressive 55-42 win over Class A Corvallis in girls basketball action on Thursday.

The teams played a back-and-forth first quarter, with Corvallis hold an 18-17 lead after the first eight minutes. The Falcons built a 27-23 halftime lead and secured the win in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Blue Devils 19-9 in the final frame.

Zahn made four 3-pointers on the night, including three in the first quarter. Teammates Rilee Mangun (15 points) and Makena Liles (11) also finished in double figures.

Corvallis was led by Calla Halderson, who made four 3-pointers on her way to 18 points.
