BOZEMAN – The Bozeman Hawks only host one swim meet during the season, the Bozeman Invite. And on Friday afternoon, at Bozeman High School, the Hawks made sure to defend their house.

Erin McKinney dominated, winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.78 and she also took first in the 200-yard individual medley, posting a time of 2:21.79.

McKinney’s teammates followed her lead. In the girls 50-yard freestyle, Laina Hall touched the wall first with a time of 26.26 seconds. Her boys counterpart, Kade Berger, took the top spot in the same event with a time of 22.90. His teammate, Zach Kelsch finished second.

Bozeman now has a week to practice before it hits the water for the I-15 Invite in Great Falls.
