THREE FORKS — The Three Forks boys and girls wasted no time in taking control of Manhattan, as both teams jumped out to quick first-quarter leads en route to double-digit victories on Friday night.

The boys built a 17-7 lead after the first period and led by 14 points at the half. Colter Miller’s 22 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists led the Wolves to a 71-53 victory.

Three Forks made an even bigger first-quarter impression in the girls game, with the Lady Wolves jumping out to a 25-9 lead after the first frame. An unselfish Three Forks team assisted 15 of its 23 field goals and four players scored in double digits. Shainy Mack led all scorers with 19 points, while Morgan Allen added 18.

The Three Forks boys and girls play again on Saturday, while Manhattan won’t see the floor again until Jan. 12.
