LOCKWOOD -- The first-ever all-class girls wrestling state tournament is set to kick off Friday at Lockwood with 148 wrestlers scheduled to be in attendance.

The Montana High School Association has released the brackets and schedule for the tournament, which will take place Friday and Saturday at Lockwood. Weigh-ins start at 7 a.m. Friday, with the first session of wrestling beginning at 9 a.m. The first session will include wrestlers in the 103-, 113-, 120- and 126-pound weight classes, and they'll complete three rounds of matches.

Following the conclusion of the first session, all wrestlers and spectators will be asked to leave the gym, which will be cleaned before the second session starts at 2 p.m. The second session will include wrestlers at the 132-, 138-, 145-, 152, 170- and 205-pound weights. They'll also complete three rounds of matches.

Heavyweight wrestlers will not take the mats in Lockwood until Saturday since there are only three girls -- O'Maste Foster of Florence, Ashlee Wilcox of Butte and Kali Hood of Columbus-Absarokee-Park City -- in that bracket.

Each of the rest of the state brackets includes at least nine wrestlers, with the 120- and 126-pound brackets each including 19 girls. There are 12 girls set to compete at 103 pounds, 18 at 113, 16 at 132, 17 at 138, nine at 145, 12 at 152, 13 at 170 and 10 at 205.

The tournament's third session will take place on Saturday following the weigh-ins at 7 a.m. The semifinals are scheduled for 9 a.m., and action will continue throughout the day until the championship matches begin at 3:30 p.m.
