CHURCHILL -- The Manhattan Christian Eagles are the District 11C volleyball champions, as they defeated Gardiner 3-0 (25-9, 25-23, 25-16) in the title game on Friday night.
Eliana Kuperus led the Eagles with 11 of the teams 33 kills in the match, while Taylor DeVries had all of the team's 29 assists. Josie Thomas paced the Bruins with seven kills and two aces.
Both Manhattan Christian and Gardiner will be back in Churchill next week for the Western C Divisional tournament. The Eagles earned a top-seed in the event, while the Bruins are a two-seed. The divisonal tournament will run Nov. 7-9.
